On Sunday I went to my niece’s birthday party, who turned four this month. I just had to share some photos of what we gave her–the most adorable present, found at the wonderful boutique in New Albany, Dress and Dwell.

I was inspired to get these after twitter friend Robyn picked them up after a spin class one day for her daughters. I made note and went back when I needed a gift for a wee one!

Dancers Among Us

These photographs are very similar to Dane Shitagi’s Ballerina Project, which I shared awhile back.
I love love love this ongoing photography project from Jordan Matter in NYC called Dancers Among Us.

I could barely pick which ones I wanted to share, there are SO many excellent pieces! I can’t wait until their book comes out in 2013.

this week I finished a wickedly popular DIY project from Pinterest. I have long been addicted to buying things in the bulk section — boy do I miss those Austin grocery stores! The bulk sections at Central Market and the flagship Whole Foods were TO DIE FOR.

The paint is super cheap and the whole project fairly easy if you already have a bunch of jars. I’m liking it, but overall think it might be overrated. Let’s be honest, I just wanted to get my hands on some chalkboard paint!

As I write this, I’m sitting here catching up on episodes of Homeland — so good!

I hate wearing shorts…my legs are never tan and as soon as you walk inside anywhere, you are blasted with frigid air conditioning…well, let me take that back — I hate wearing shorts WITHOUT tights…with tights? I love me that look!

My favorite consignment shop here in Louisville put out their spring stuff yesterday — definitely going to make a trip today to get first look!
