Not sure any other 8 second video can better express my happiness today.
I know I seem to say this every Friday, but….holy crap thank GOD it’s Friday! I enjoy my job (very much), but whenever you have days like I did this week (inventory of 11,000 books, coming home to find Reuben shredded all cardboard recycling and distributed it throughout the house…TWICE…locking wallet in a walk-in freezer…I know, I know…don’t ask), Fridays are celebrated.
Coming straight home after work today to do some serious, serious yoga. I need it.

Happy weekend!
I didn’t get a chance to get a post for Friday out yesterday. BUSY week. We can now see a light at the end of the tunnel of Andrew’s job search. Things have been shaky since November….ahh the joys of small, renewable energy startups!
Teaching a couple classes this morning, then book club later today, then a birthday dinner for Mom. Lots of good things.

Wishing everyone a happy Friday a little late due to a lost internet connection at home. However, we did get about two inches of snow (and ICE) and I didn’t have to work today. Unexpected three day weekend?!?! Yay?!
Over at Mom and Dad’s writing this…we’ve been enjoying the snowy day with coffee, dance parties, and a cookie bake off: chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, sugar, and turtle. Whoa. You can see exactly what’s going on here.
What do you think of Vine?! I pretty much agree with these ladies. I’m half-heartedly participating, but pretty much think it stinks.

Not only is it Friday, but I had an excellent first week back–not sick and loving it. What’s a better way to celebrate Friday than with an illustrated diary excerpt from Susan Sontag?! I love Susan Sontag and San Francisco illustrator Wendy MacNaughton nails it. Found it on brainpickings and I’m hoping it’s the first of a series…

Friday! Again!
o.m.g. it’s already September 14th…
Another week flies by again and this weekend brings an unexpected potential trip to Cincinnati IKEA….boom dig.
Highlights of my week?
1) realizing that I pretty much love my new job and think it’s going to be a great fit for quite awhile (yay!)
2) enjoying some homemade skinnygirl marg w/ mint & cucumber…only a limited amount of time left before fall!
3) mastering the fishtail braid — thank you young lady on youtube!
4) reading this book…so good.

yeah…so two four day weeks in a row? Amazing. I’m going to have major issues next week…
Only thing on my agenda? Teaching two yoga classes and then bookclub tomorrow–NOTHING planned for tonight and Sunday. Hopefully Andrew and I can make a dent on that puzzle!

Off to work now, then grocery shopping, then home. Not much scheduled for the weekend. Hoping I finally feel up to a motorcycle ride with Andrew!

yay Friday! Great great first week of work–surprisingly low stress and fun!
Now for a weekend of nothing much. Closing ceremonies, music on the square, yoga, etc. Whatever happens, I’m pretty excited for the highs of low 80s….I’m so ready for fall I could scream.
