So long April. You were full of uneventful days, dog walks, hours of reading, and yoga-ing. Bring on May!
Headed down to Asheville this morning. Got the second half of Sedaris and a bunch of podcasts to listen to!

What a great month!
Andrew started new job (and bonus…seems to really like it!), I got a raise + possible benefits at my day job (!!!!), and had great attendance at the studio (I love my students). However, I have developed an addiction to Lotsa Pasta frozen calzones that needs to be addressed and the weather was pretty poor (snow on my spring break!? BOO).
Unfortunately for Andrew, I have also been listening to the new Blake Shelton album on repeat which is truly deplorable. I think every song has the words “beer,” “truck,” “blue jeans,” “sweet tea,” “moonlight,” “redneck,” about 10 times…ahhh it’s good, so so good. I have thrown this song in for good measure…equally annoying in a totally different way.
Also my library got about 1000x more fun when my shipment of new books arrived mid-month…now we have all 18 Elephant & Piggie books to read over and over again! Victory!

February. A pretty good month! Andrew got a new job, I bought allergy medicine for the first time in my life and feel amazing because of it. Same as last month, I did a lot of yoga, watched a lot of basketball and a crap ton of awards shows. Didn’t do much else. These past few wintry months have been especially lazy ones around these parts. I never thought I’d say this but I’m ready for warm weather! Eating and drinking outside, long walks with the Bagel boys, and no heat regulation in the studio (that is tough!).
Because music or podcasts pretty much follow me everywhere, here’s my current Winter 2013 playlist:
Also, it doesn’t hurt that in March I have a week off for Spring Break. Woohoo! Bring it on!

On the one hand, January has been rather uneventful. And on the other, full of super stressful waiting around (A’s job related…I’ll keep you posted).
I read four books (!), had a great time at work, did a lot of yoga, watched a lot of awards shows and college basketball. Andrew found me this song and I’m obsessed. Let’s face it, I’ve fully embraced my love of country music at this point. Things got real last week on Downton…why!?!?!?! Boohoo….I won’t ruin it for anyone who has not watched, but oh my lord.
I’m excited for February. Valentine’s…my Mom’s birthday, some new yoga teaching opportunities, the Oscars…
Ready to get on–how was your January?

Needless to say, I have not quit instagram and I doubt I will…it’s just too much fun! Ha!

most likely this might be my last instagram post. still can’t decide if I’m going to cancel my account or not. I think the whole advertising hub bub is merited, but mostly, I just think that its time has passed. Let’s be honest, when anything joins forces with Facebook, it’s all downhill from there. (Can you tell I’m not a fan of Facebook?)
Also, I’ll be honest. I’ve been a bit crabby lately. I have been sick on and off since starting my new job…IN AUGUST. I know that it’s simply that it’s my first year working in a school, but lordy, I’m getting real tired of this. Today is my first day off for winter break–I have until January 7th off and will enjoy every minute.

These photos highlight the complete transition of weather and festivity within the past couple weeks. The Thanksgiving break was exactly what I needed…feeling tons better and ready to get my Christmas on!
Three things making me super happy right now: glögg (recipe to come!), Candy Cane Joe-Joes, and new clothes.

What up Monday!? Ugh. Busy, busy week ahead at work, Election Day, & Facetime Lou! Lots of the agenda! Luckily I had a wonderfully restful weekend with lots of cooking, cleaning, and yoga. I decided to give YogaGlo a try and I am so impressed with it. Not sure how well it would work for someone who is just beginning with yoga, but I find it to be kinda amazing. Excited to take another “class” this afternoon after work.
