Camera Workout: Week 13

Finally got our upstairs finished with a new tv! Also rearranged furniture so that we now have computer-office area at the other end. It’s very cozy…and Bagel loves it…
Jewelry getting cleaned.
white wine in sunlight…got these glasses as a wedding present…still love them!
Checked this out from the library…Andrew wants to start listening to audiobooks on his commute…not exactly sure this is what he has in mind…
I made multiple batches of these vegan peanut butter cups over spring break. Delicious and ridiculously easy.

Waiting for Andrew to get home.

Found this sticker while reorganizing this week…I love it!
Asian for dinner always = a sticky soy/sweet dipping sauce
Also finally got our spare room turned into a little reading room…this chair is a hand-me-down from Andrew’s parents…I have always loved it and about died when they wanted to get rid of it…it’s comically large.
cute attack.
Easter present from my mama…I devoured these in record time. Love Schimpff’s!
Finally about to finish this one…really loving it!

What a great month!
Andrew started new job (and bonus…seems to really like it!), I got a raise + possible benefits at my day job (!!!!), and had great attendance at the studio (I love my students). However, I have developed an addiction to Lotsa Pasta frozen calzones that needs to be addressed and the weather was pretty poor (snow on my spring break!? BOO).
Unfortunately for Andrew, I have also been listening to the new Blake Shelton album on repeat which is truly deplorable. I think every song has the words “beer,” “truck,” “blue jeans,” “sweet tea,” “moonlight,” “redneck,” about 10 times…ahhh it’s good, so so good. I have thrown this song in for good measure…equally annoying in a totally different way.
Also my library got about 1000x more fun when my shipment of new books arrived mid-month…now we have all 18 Elephant & Piggie books to read over and over again! Victory!
too much to do

I want to ask the question: how is it possible to be bored these days?
There is so much I want to do, read, see, make, eat, drink, watch, that at the end of every day I am left wishing I had a few hours.
I love this show and want to finish it, but also have this show and my favorite show ever starting back and I have still never seen The Wire, which let’s face it, I know I’m missing out big time.
I am reading this book, but also have another bookclub selection, and some books for work that I’d like to read…Not to mention the long awaited My Friend series that always just sits around waiting…
Then I get really overwhelmed when I start thinking about all the classes I want to do here…then I would also love to get back into running…then I would also love to cook every recipe on Sprouted Kitchen, Shutterbean, andhere.
Oh and I would also like to this restaurant, go to the Louisville Science Center to see this exhibit.
PLUS……I would love to plan/go on a vacation, take more photos, more motorcycle rides, blog posts to write, blogs to read, cocktails to make, yoga workshops to attend, and ETC, ETC, ETC, ETC.
I love how accessible things are these days and how much Louisville has changed since I last lived here. There are too many options and I love it…but it kinda makes my head want to pop off…please tell me I’m not alone?!?!
Oh wait…I guess I also have to work too….
bummer.

It’s that time again—basketball crazypants all over Kentuckiana.
Getting my spring break to-do list done!

The newest member of our family
I want this sweater in my size.

Easter egg hunting is a little anticlimactic…

And this is basically the best picture I’ve ever taken. That Easter bunny was beyond creepy. I don’t blame these little gals for being completely terrified.

Still enjoying this rice — thanks Lis!
Happy Friday Indeed!

Oh boy. Yes. Yes. Yes. It is Friday and next week is SPRRRRRING BREAK! It’s so funny to be back on a school schedule again. I have the next nine days off from librarian work, but I’m still teaching the yoga.
What do I have planned?
NOTHING….and I LOVE IT.
I plan to do a crap ton of yoga classes with this fine lady (20 minute per side pose flows!??! YES!), get all my knives sharpened, take a lot of dog walks, watch Enlightened…WHICH GOT CANCELLED?!?!?!? HBO: You’re treading on thin ice…
Also want to try and actually read some stuff as well as run around doing some super professional errands…you know, business like business stuff!
In the meantime, just enjoy some photos from my new favorite tumblr, Thumbs and Ammo…so good:

This is what happens when Andrew and I try to take a photo together these days…one of us just won’t let it be nice.

First photo of me, Kayla, and baby Graham Cracker (it’s a boy! Nephew with an excellent name due to arrive in August!)

Old books of my grandmother’s. All these photos are from an art opening featuring her work. The Artisan Center in downtown Corydon is exhibiting Rosamond Sample‘s work for the next few weeks. My mom’s mom was a wonderful artist, amazing reader, hilarious, and my favorite kind of grandmother ever. I miss her.

More books…a bit ahead of the curve on the whole Kabbalah thing…

Her tools set up and on display.

Yes, I do realize that all my weeks photos are from one day this time. Sorry…I simply did not get out the camera any other day!
I wanted to find time to snap a few photos of my new favorite toy…suppose those can wait until next week. It is truly a sad day when you are this excited over a new vacuum cleaner…ahh I’m getting old.

We’re finally getting our upstairs furnished. Great new coffee table/tv stand from Rellek, moved the couch up there. Now all we need is a big tv…I once said we’d never have more than one television…but, I was….wrong.
Bagel is ready for spring…he’s stick of being cooped up inside.

How did it do this on Wednesday:

And then I got to open windows over the weekend:

Yeah so I went to Sassy Fox on Friday and bought some stuff..including a sassy chevron cardigan…also, totally saw Jennifer Lawrence’s mom in there consigning a ton of stuff! Amazing! Going back soon so I can maybe grab some of it!

Sunny triangles on cabinets

Had to say goodbye to this piece of Mom’s in the studio a few weeks ago…big thanks to Eva!

Investigating some constant ear flapping…I swear, it’s always something with this guy.

I cannot believe we are in double digits with weeks for this series! Phew! I’m still going, but phew I’ve got a long way to 52!
Happy Friday Y’all!

I think these GIRLS paper dolls from Vulture are amazing. I loved paper dolls as a kid and Vulture never disappoints:

However, I am happy to announce that I have stopped watching HBO’s GIRLS. I realized that the anger it incites in me is not healthy and all the elements I enjoyed last season have virtually disappeared this season. In short….Enlightened > GIRLS.
Ready for the weekend…like, whoa. It was a tough week at work full of standardized testing…kids stressed, staff stressed.
Family from out of town arriving on Sunday. Can’t wait!

I do both of these things a lot lately…yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga.
I will never ever learn how to fold a fitted sheet.
This commercial makes me grab the camera and snap a quick pic as I’m passing through the living room.
My semi-gag gift to Andrew for his birthday…at $25 a bottle, it’s dang well worth a try! We had Andrew’s parents over for dinner on Friday and had a taste test. It would probably be ok if we hadn’t had it in comparison with this.
Trying to get ahead of the game by chopping up an entire cantaloupe for this week’s work lunches
Started this show over the weekend. Obsessed. So good.
Andrew’s pretty amazing birthday present from Kaylex…trying to decide what to have with dinner.
About to get down to business and do this blog post you’re reading right now. A reformatted computer that runs like lightning makes it a lot easier! Again, big thanks to Andrew for checking these things off the list his last week at home.
