Remember Ron Mueck? If not, I first blogged about him right here.
I am absolutely fascinated by this man and his art. What a simple idea: make incredibly realistic sculptures of human beings, but just ENORMOUS. !?!? And again, I’m still so jealous that Andrew has actually seen one in the flesh.

His new exhibition is in Paris at the Foundation Cartier. These photos are from Thomas Salva.

Super excited about this new lens for the camera
I love having librarian friends that write notes in the books I have on hold!
Still working out the kinks of this new lens
You’re about to pulverized into almond cream
I took a ton more photos this week with the new lens, but given that I’m manually focusing and getting used to it, I figured you wouldn’t want to look at a bunch of fuzzy, overexposed pictures. Ha!
Off to Nashville after work today for Jeopardy! Woohoo!

Pretty pretty at Lis’ house.
Don’t care if it’s too obvious and touristy…best meal always.

I really wanted to get out my camera more on this trip, but it was raining pretty much the entire time I was there. Boo.
We found the Downtown Market….ahem…
Also, I want to include some special photos this week.

A little while back I was contacted by Dress United about featuring their custom t-shirt service. This service was ridiculously easy and I am seriously considering putting in an order for more. I am very picky when it comes to tshirts…let alone custom made ones. In my opinion, there is nothing worse than a custom tshirt that is super thick, heavy, and splattered with rough screenprinting. This shirt exceeded my expectations in almost every way. Not only is it super duper soft, but the images are seamlessly printed onto the shirt as if they’ve been there forever.
Thank you so much for this opportunity Dress United. I can’t wait to show it off around town.
Alright y’all, I’ll catch you later. I’ve got to get off the computer and hobble to work. Kathryn Budig was UHHHHHH-mazing, but boy am I sore! (in a good way!)
April…oh, and Happy Friday!

So long April. You were full of uneventful days, dog walks, hours of reading, and yoga-ing. Bring on May!
Headed down to Asheville this morning. Got the second half of Sedaris and a bunch of podcasts to listen to!

Can’t wait until I’m off work for eight weeks…I’m planning some major one-on-one time with my camera.
Found this note in my mom’s piano studio.

And that’s so totally it for this week. You know that feeling when there seem to be a million different things coming together all at once and it’s all you can do to just barely get through it all? Yeah, that. Asheville this weekend should be a nice little break, then bring on Nashville and the end of school. I cannot wait until summer. You can tell I don’t care much about Derby…leaving for Asheville for the whole weekend and it doesn’t even factor in to all the events I have going on…Hoosier at heart I suppose.
Oh and it doesn’t help matters much that allergies struck me down AGAIN and I haven’t had much of a voice this week. Boo

I can’t really explain why Dina Kelberman‘s tumblr, I’m Google, is so amazing. It’s kinda something you just have to go check out for yourself. Go to the link or any of these photos, then immediately start slowly scrolling down and taking in the photos.
Don’t worry, it’s not a prank or nsfw, it’s just inexplicably cool in the way that art on that internet usually is. People are so dang creative and I love it.

It’s homemade soda season again! Remember this post from last year? Clementines, tonic water, boom.

I love you in Norwegian..definitely the corniest thing in our house.

Trying to get out of helping me with laundry folding.

I ate this soup all week for lunch…it was good, but by Thursday I was having a hard time.

This Tabac scented candle is my new obsession…until I realized it’s a “crackles as it burns” candle…?!?!?!? Who thought this was a good idea!??!

Brought a defective banana…What gives Trader Joe’s?

Splurged on eggs from nearby Dutch Creek Farm. So delicious…not sure I’ll be able to go back to regular…

Nom.

I found my Pagekeeper! I know it sounds crazy…but it makes me read a bazillion times faster?! Finished The Interestings, now halfway through with this Jennifer Close book…pretty fluffball, but I’m having fun with it.

Have a great week all.

The artist Hong Yi goes by the nickname “Red.” She’s about as adorable as these illustrations she does using edible items.
Follow her on instagram for some regular day brightening.

Spring has sprung. Thank god. How beautiful is this little globe of beads? That’s all Mom right there.

I made it over four years of marriage video game free…it was nice while it lasted.

Trying to make sense of a chaotic kitchen…the relentless of dishes always gets me down.

This is what real life looks like when you have black kitchen floors and two beagle mixes that are shedding their winter coats. gross.

Really enjoying my yoga lately…again, YogaGlo has been a complete and total game changer.

Heard this book recommended on one of my favorite podcasts, went straight to library. They weren’t kidding. Wow.

With Mom in Tybee all week, this poor guy was a little lost.

Had a great weekend full of motorcycle rides. An odd combination of absolutely terrifying and total fun.

Dandelions!

Cannot believe how fast this weekly post comes around. Things are moving rather quickly it seems like lately…

Walked on the newly opened Big Four pedestrian bridge with Mom and Hammy. It is so wonderful!
Hammy loved it!
Gathering supplies for Louisville vs. Wichita St
Finally got to say goodbye to all my boots!

Yeah and that’s it for photos this week…it kinda crept up on me and I realized I only had my camera out a day or two. Whoops–spring fever is getting me!
