So a bit of an obscure recommendation, but seriously, life IS better with the Sara Bareilles station on Pandora. I know, I know…you’re thinking “Pandora?! Why not Spotify?” and “Sara Bareilles?! As in, that chick from that Rhapsody commercial which aired about 50 bajillion times in the year 2007?!”
Yes and yes. You heard me right. I’m not sure what made me type her name into Pandora a few months ago, but holy crap I’m glad I did. Pandora’s algorithm for this particular station is amazeballs. You get an even and flawless stream of acoustic singing, jazz piano, Adele, old school Tracy Chapman, guilty pleasure Colbie Caillat, & lots of Feist thrown in for good measure.
Flawless–listen to it now. I like to blast it in my kitchen while burning Fall scented candles, wearing slippers, and making these cookies.

This is almost two weeks of instagram photos. Fall brings good things. Reading a lot and actually painting some (!). Woohoo!
What’s on your schedule this weekend? I’m hoping to see Cloud Atlas tonight, do some trick or treating with some sweet little ones, teach some yoga, etc, etc. I am NOT excited about how cold it’s supposed to get here…

I actually worked on some new projects this past weekend. I’m working on getting my pieces scanned and into the computer with (finally) some decent photos so I can start my Etsy store…Eek! Who knows if I’ll actually sell anything, but hey, I have nothing to lose right?!
Here is a little preview of what I’ve been working on. Still kinda obsessed with this mosaic/stained glass thing.

Friday again. since I’ve been off all week, it’s not quite the same. Unexpectedly, Andrew has also been off all week too so it’s been a bit of a strange week…
Realized I hadn’t posted instagram photos in forever! Here are some–I’m so excited to be getting a new/old phone soon. My brother has graciously given me his old Samsung galaxy he doesn’t use anymore. Much better camera than my phone now, so excited!

today marks the one year anniversary of this little blog! Yeeeeee!
I cannot believe I’ve kept this up for a year. 343 posts, a lot of “amazing” things, photos of hound dogs, asheville, and my boring life. I know that I am beyond late to the blogging party, but I’ve found that I really enjoy it–I’ve made tons of new internet “friends” and I’m so glad that I will have this digital record of daily life to look back on in the future.
