Found these absolutely stunning photos via Colossal. But HELLO. So wonderful. French photographer Normann Szkop has captured some brilliant tulip fields in the Netherlands…along with some pretty amazing wind turbines.
There are over 100 photos in this series, found here.

ahhhhh….
I never ever get tired of visiting Asheville-I miss it so, but it has definitely become more of a vacation spot for me than a place to live. It was busting at the seams with people over the holiday weekend and we had an absolute blast. Tried to capture some of it when I had my camera with me.

Wow. The underwater photography of Elena Kalis is so beautiful.
Since I’m still trying to figure out using a “real” camera, this blows my mind. So clear and beautiful!
ahhhh I want to go swimming now! However, the temp here is a bit cool for that and that’s ok! I have been LOVING the weather here the past few days…I really dislike hot, hot weather and hope it stays away for as long as possible.
Louisville: 60

Wow…we made the right decision!
Now that we’ve been living back home for over a year now, I can say this with confidence.
After living in Asheville, Stavanger, Edinburgh, and Austin, I can honestly say that Kentuckiana is exactly where I want to be…and not just because it’s where I am from originally.
Louisville and the surrounding areas (yay Corydon!) are blossoming daily–full of new business, art, and culture. The area has all the comforts of city living, but all the charm of rural living.
I love love love this new video from Possibility City.

Favorite Photos: Summer in Spain ca. 2006

It’s been awhile since I shared some of my favorite photos. Because I’ve been feeling the itch to travel–here are some favorites from my study abroad experience in Granada, Spain.
I still think it might be one of my favorite places ever…probably because it was my first big trip. I only wish I had had a better camera!

Have you ever seen a bathroom so terrifying?
Perched at the top of a 15-story, unused elevator shaft, this is crazy! The brainchild of Mexican architects Hernandez Silva Arquitectos, this bathroom is part of a penthouse apartment in Guadalajara.
Could you handle this in your house?!!?
A Ribbon of Nature

Have I mentioned how much I love North Carolina?
This incredible, five story tall structural ribbon of LCD screens was installed this year at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Created by Plebian Design, it features twenty cycles of content with multiple soundtracks.
I love this.
I’m thinking another trip to Asheville needs to include a hop over to Raleigh…
