Currently obsessed with this new album from Holly Williams. She’s Hank Williams’ granddaughter and she’s amazing. This album is produced by 1/2 of The Civil Wars (who are coming back with new music August 6th btw !!). She’s headed to Uncle Slayton’s in Louisville on the 30th…thinking I’m in.

If you follow me on twitter, you probably have noticed that I’ve been gorging myself on Friday Night Lights. I’m about to start season four and omg. I can’t even talk about it I love it so much. Tami Taylor? Flawless. Coach Taylor? Perfect. Matt Saracen and Tim Riggins? Favorites.
I know I’m about five or so years late to the party, but I don’t care. I love this show.

This is impressive…because it’s so fun.
My last day of work before summer vacation today! I thought that yesterday was my last day, but it wasn’t…yeah. Honestly, I’m actually looking forward to working the library all day by myself, listening to NPR and organizing picture books…pretty much my dream job. So thankful for it.

Discovered Laura Mvula after hearing a review of her album on All Things Considered yesterday afternoon while driving home from…MY JEOPARDY AUDITION! Immediately loved everything I heard from it, so added to my Spring 2013 playlist, which is getting pretty long by now:
We had a great time in Nashville. Such a great time that I didn’t even bother to grab my camera out of the trunk! So, no photos come next Tueday…wahhhh. We had a fabulous night out with stops at The Silly Goose, Jeni’s Splendid ice cream, and this bar.
I had a blast at the audition. They try to make it tons of fun and there were lots of very nice people to laugh and chat with. Getting to use a real Jeopardy buzzer? Definitely a dream come true….hahaha. Overall I feel pretty confident about my performance on the test, but you never know. Now it’s waiting game…I could be called to play any time within the next 18 months!

Not sure any other 8 second video can better express my happiness today.
I know I seem to say this every Friday, but….holy crap thank GOD it’s Friday! I enjoy my job (very much), but whenever you have days like I did this week (inventory of 11,000 books, coming home to find Reuben shredded all cardboard recycling and distributed it throughout the house…TWICE…locking wallet in a walk-in freezer…I know, I know…don’t ask), Fridays are celebrated.
Coming straight home after work today to do some serious, serious yoga. I need it.

I’ve been half-heartedly keeping tabs on Coachella coverage the past two weekends. I would have really really really really really liked to have seen this R. Kelly/Phoenix collaboration.
Also, this performance isn’t doing anything to help my current James Blake obsession...his new album? Amazing.

Totally and completely uneventful week around here…except for the fact that I got an audition to be on Jeopardy!!!!!!!!!!
Dying. It’s in Nashville next month…will be cramming until then.
